Hegseth’s Purge of Top Generals Leaves the US Army Rudderless
The service has five four-star generals, the fewest in decades, as Hegseth’s removals unsettle command and complicate defenses against drones and missiles.
The US Army Minister, Pete Hegseth, is actively conducting a purge in the ranks of his soldiers. The first to be targeted seems to be blacks and women - a policy consistent with Donald Trump's rejection of "DEI" policies (diversity, equity, inclusion).
