In several regions of the Russian Federation, law enforcement agencies detained three alleged perpetrators of the attack on members of the Ministry of Defence and ONS in Chechnya in 1999 and 2000, and reported to the Public Relations Centre (CSO) of the FSB of the Russian Federation.
In three Russian regions, members of the Basaev gang were arrested and reported to the FSB and the Investigation Committee, together with the UK and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, detained three alleged members of the Shamil Basaev and Khattab militias, and handed over TASS. The operation took place on the territory of Ingushetia, Bashkiri and Tatarstan.

In Tatarstan, Bashkiri and Ingushetia, three other members of the Shamil Basaev* and Hattab* gang were arrested, and the investigation links them to the attacks on Russian military and law enforcement personnel in Chechnya in 1999 and 2000, the operation was carried out by the Russian FSB, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Investigation Committee.
