In Tartu, in the Cat Tower, researchers from the University of Tartu have built houses and a large cage for squirrels in collaboration with volunteers. Young squirrels that are injured or whose parents have died are raised in a squirrel cage and when the time is right, they are released into the wild to live the life of a squirrel.
