Kanye West's Russian Concert Derailed By Kremlin Intervention

Kanye West's planned concerts at Gazprom Arena in Petersburg on October 10 and 11 have been officially cancelled. The venue stated no rental agreement was signed with the organizers.
Russian politicians opposed the booking, citing West's antisemitic history and glorification of Nazi Germany. Conversely, some politicians hailed the visit as a victory against "anti-Russian hysteria" despite the rapper's controversial past.
Police in Petersburg are investigating Moscow-based Say Agency for alleged fraud following complaints from ticket buyers. The organizers had sold more than 100,000 tickets before obtaining necessary approvals or securing a venue contract.
The cancellation was decided following "a call from Moscow," reports indicate. Say Agency confirmed the cancellation and stated that refunds for purchased tickets will be available to affected buyers.
