Half of the French Senate is renewed this Sunday in elections by indirect universal suffrage, one of the main issues of which is the capacity of the French Senate.
The great voters of some 60 departments vote this Sunday for the Senate, an election in the form of a test for the RN, which intends to disrupt the control of the right over the Senate in the midst of the presidential campaign.
At the mid-day, LR as the PS could count on their roots in the rural departments to elect or re-elect some elected officials. The far right boasts "very big advances" and prophesies "some surprises" in the south-east by this Sunday evening.
On Sunday, September 27, 178 out of 348 senators will be putting their seats at stake in 64 constituencies in the Territory. The campaign took place at a low level, while the main political parties, in particular the National Rally, which hopes to form, for the first time in history, a group in the Senate.
In general indifference, senatorial elections without legible stakes organised a new distribution of seats among the right. On Sunday evening, 178 of the 348 seats in the Senate were renewed at the end of the elections. The right retains the majority in front of the left, which resists. The far right obtains for the very first time a group in the upper chamber.
