Bhubaneswar: In a landmark ruling, a court in Odisha sentenced nine Bangladeshi nationals to two years of rigorous imprisonment and imposed fines for illegally infiltrating into the state. The Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate (SDJM) Court convicted six men, three women, and one juvenile based on evidence presented by six witnesses and documentary proof. Bhubaneswar: A court in Bhubaneswar Tuesday sentenced nine Bangladeshis, including three women, to two years of rigorous imprisonment each for infiltrating into India. The sentence was pronounced by the court of Sub-divisional Judicial Magistrate, Bhubaneswar. Apart from two years’ RI, the court also imposed a penalty of Rs 10,000 each on the nine Bangladeshis.
