Ohio Democrat Gerald Dixon swore his second term at Whitehall City Council on Tuesday, a few hours after being released on parole after his arrest on charges of child sexual abuse. Dixon denies the charges. Dixon, 64, who this year declared himself a Democrat since 1980, overwhelmingly won a second term in November for the non-partisan Whitehall City Council District 1 seat, with nearly 70% of the votes. Whitehall is a suburb of Columbus.
