- Security operatives utilized drones on Friday to identify the suspects' location, but the Imo State Police Command reports the camp is mined with Improvised Explosive Devices , forcing agencies to proceed cautiously.
- The Commissioner of Police, Audu Bosso, confirmed on Saturday that 10 victims were rescued at the scene, while authorities are still verifying the exact number remaining in captivity.
- Police are preparing to enter the area using high-velocity bulldozers and APCs to extract remaining victims, as Bosso stated the equipment is essential to rescue captives safely without further harm.
