John Cena: No Khan Has The Pocketbook - Fightful
Cena told fans that a comeback would be financial suicide and said he is prioritizing his acting career after wrestling his final match in December.
At FanExpo Canada in Toronto over the weekend, John Cena addressed fan chants for "one more match," stating definitively, "I'm out, dog, whoever said that," regarding potential comeback offers.
Wrestling his final match for WWE previously, Cena has made surprise appearances since, yet the 49-year-old prioritizes his acting career over in-ring competition.
Dismissing financial viability, Cena told fans, "No Khan has got the pocketbook. Nick, Tony, they ain't got the money," noting that returning for ego-driven reasons would dishonor farewell tour attendees.
By rejecting overtures from WWE and AEW, Cena emphasized his commitment to "health, clarity, and closure" in his post-wrestling life, prioritizing his legacy.
Cena noted he met many families who invested resources into his farewell tour, maintaining that reneging on that commitment would be "lying to everyone" who supported his exit.
