JPNN.com, BANYUWANGI - Forest and land fires (karhutla) that hit the Taman Wisata Alam (TWA) area of Ijen Crater on the border of Banyuwangi and Bondowoso Regency, East Java, gradually subsided on Tuesday (8/9/2026), especially in the area of hiking trails.
Forest and land fires in Ijen Crater, Banyuwangi, have begun to subside. Hotspots have decreased, but helicopters are still conducting water bombing in hard-to-reach locations.
