IDF Strike Kills Top Hamas Moneyman, Deputy in Northern Gaza
The strike targeted a network that moved tens of millions of dollars to Hamas and helped fund salaries and attacks, the IDF said.
The Israel Defense Forces announced Wednesday it killed Khader Jamasi, the head of Hamas's fund transfer network, and his deputy, Muhammad Harazin, in an airstrike in northern Gaza.
Targeting Hamas's financial infrastructure, the IDF and Shin Bet conducted the operation to dismantle a network used to pay operatives and support attacks against Israeli soldiers and civilians.
Operating through a network of dozens of money exchangers, Jamasi and Harazin transferred tens of millions of dollars to the group's military wing throughout the Gaza Strip.
This strike marks the latest Israeli military operation targeting Hamas's financial network, following the elimination of senior operatives Firas Mashharawi and Ihab Khrizim over the past year.
Israeli forces remain deployed in the Gaza Strip under a U.S.-brokered ceasefire, though the Board of Peace cited Hamas's refusal to disarm as the principal obstacle to full implementation.
The man who managed tens of millions of dollars of Hamas organization was killed on Sunday in an attack by Israel. In the same military raid his deputy also died. Article The man who managed the huge funds of Hamas, killed in an attack by Israel first appears on Romania TV.
