‘Delay in inducting new fighter jets hurting IAF’: Air Chief Marshal AP Singh
The IAF chief talked about the need to deploy 5th generation aircraft to the fleet. He then said that currently the IAF was looking at the induction of LCA Mk-1A, new multi-role fighter aircraft (MRFA) and additional Sukhoi-30MKIs to shore up its fighter fleet. These fighter jets would help keep the combat squadrons from falling below the figure of 30.
