I tried the UK's 'worst beers' and one was surprisingly acceptable
A reviewer sampled Carling, Fosters and Budweiser after a Reddit thread drew more than 1,000 comments and found Fosters surprisingly acceptable.
After a Reddit thread with more than 1,000 comments asked for the 'worst beers,' a reviewer decided to try The Carling, The Fosters, and The Budweiser to test if they deserved their reputations.
Based on the responses, Carling received more than 200 mentions, while Fosters received more than 130. All three cans were refrigerated for a few hours before tasting.
Fosters surprisingly kept a head of foam and proved okay, while Budweiser was quite watery and flat. Carling became harder to drink once it stopped being cold, displaying unpleasant bitterness.
Carling might deserve its reputation as a subpar offering, while Budweiser failed to improve. However, Fosters' poor reputation may not be fully deserved, as the reviewer found it acceptable.
Ultimately, determining the 'worst' beer is subjective, as personal preferences vary widely. The reviewer prefers crisp-tasting options like Peroni or Asahi over the brands tested.
