Philadelphia Streamer and Pastor Hit by Car While on Cross-Country Walk
The Twitch streamer suffered only sprains and bruises after a chain-reaction crash interrupted his 3,000-mile faith walk, and he says he will continue.
On Tuesday, April 28, Twitch streamer Isaiah Thomas, known online as 'Minister Zay,' was struck by a vehicle while walking an Indiana highway during his 3,000-mile 'faith walk' from Philadelphia to California.
Thomas embarked on this journey to raise $200,000 for HMBL University, a proposed trade school designed to provide practical skills and career opportunities for underserved youth.
While a Mazda sedan with hazard lights trailed Thomas as a safety buffer, a third vehicle rear-ended the escort car, pushing it directly into the streamer and his cart.
Following the incident, Thomas remains in stable condition with sprains and bruises; his GoFundMe campaign has raised $45,000 toward the $200,000 goal as of Wednesday, April 29.
Despite the accident, Thomas plans to 'finish this marathon' once medically cleared, promising supporters he will return to the road to complete his cross-country journey.
