Archaeologists in Lima, Peru, have discovered human skeletal remains that may be evidence of a ritual sacrifice dating back some 1,400 years. The body was found hidden in a canal near the Huaca Pucllana pyramid, one of the most important centers of ancient Lima culture. Researchers believe the man may have been killed as part of a ceremony associated with the closing of the water canal.
