Hull condemn racist abuse of new signing Vaz
On Thursday, Hull City condemned racist abuse directed at new signing Robinio Vaz on social media and said they were working with authorities to identify those responsible.
The abuse followed a social media post on Tuesday announcing the 19-year-old French striker's arrival from Roma on a season-long loan, prompting the club to delete the announcement.
Hull is working with Humberside Police and contacted the Premier League and anti-discrimination charity Kick It Out to address the "disgusting abuse" and enforce their zero-tolerance policy.
"No individual should ever experience discriminatory abuse, and the club will provide Robinio with our full support," Hull City stated, emphasizing commitment to the forward.
The Tigers have enjoyed a strong start to their first Premier League campaign since 2017, winning their opening two matches and hosting Aston Villa on Saturday.
