The largest Cretaceous herbivores reigned above all on warm lands close to the equator. Some, however, set up their nests very far south, almost at the end of the world. Their titanosaur eggs waited for the heat of the decaying plants, never that of the sun.
Scientists believe that these giant dinosaurs, with their characteristic long necks and small brains, belonged to the sauropod group, lived in herds and possibly migrated over very long distances.
