China has made the most crucial and drastic changes in its national defense policy. In times of war and emergencies, ordinary citizens will definitely be on the side of the country.
China has adopted a revised version of the Law on Mobilisation for Defence, which significantly expands the areas that may be included in a possible national war effort, from property and industry to artificial intelligence, drones and digital infrastructure.
For the first time since 2010, China has revised the National Defence Mobilization Act, expanding the use of modern civil technology for defence purposes, and the new version will enter into force on 1 October 2026 and was approved by the Standing Committee of the National People ' s Congress on 28 August.
China approved the first 16-year reform of its national defense mobilization law, with a new mandate to promote the incorporation of technologies such as artificial intelligence, drones, cyberspace and quantum computing into its military capabilities.
