How a Phantom Island Appeared, Vanished, Then Reappeared in Different Location

- Gammer warns people to stay off the island, describing it as a "delicate, thin layer of logs" that is naturally unstable and unsafe to climb onto or land a boat on.
- "Finding the island has answered one question, but it has raised several others," Gammer said; officials continue monitoring the phantom landmass, which resembles other floating bogs like Wisconsin's Forty Acre Bog.
