Houston Dealt a Blow as Nico Collins Ruled Out vs the Bengals with a Hamstring Injury
Houston will also be without starting guard Ed Ingram, edge rusher Jadeveon Clowney and linebacker Jake Hummel after Friday’s final injury report.
The Houston Texans announced Friday that wide receiver Nico Collins, guard Ed Ingram, defensive end Jadeveon Clowney, and linebacker Jake Hummel will miss Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Collins sustained a hamstring injury during Wednesday's practice, while Ingram suffered a groin injury Thursday, forcing both offensive starters to the sideline for the AFC matchup.
Veteran guard Wyatt Teller will replace Ingram on the offensive line, while wide receiver Kayshon Boutte must step up with Jayden Higgins already sidelined by a torn ACL.
Despite a back issue, Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow practiced in full Friday and is expected to play in Sunday's matchup at Reliant Stadium.
Missing four key contributors complicates the Texans' efforts to secure their first win of the season against a fellow top-five AFC contender.
