The Dutch men's eight retained the world title on Sunday at the World Rowing Championships on home soil. On the Bosbaan in the Amsterdamse Bos, the Dutch boat managed to narrowly hold off Great Britain in a thrilling sprint. The difference was just 0.06 seconds.
The Holland Eight was once again the fastest in the world on Sunday during the World Rowing Championships in Amsterdam, this time even setting a world record. Yet, the gold for Ralf Rienks from Zwolle, the newcomer in the bow, was not the most beautiful moment of the weekend.
