Historical Marker: Site of World War II P.O.W. Camp - Orange Leader

The City of Orange Historical Preservation Commission proudly presents a series of monthly spotlights featuring historical markers throughout Orange, Texas. This month, the HPC is highlighting the site of a World War II P.O.W. Camp.   During World War II, over 50,000 German prisoners of war were interned in over 70 Texas P.O.W. Camps.
