UK Fashion Retailer to Shut Last 20 Stores This Weekend After Entering Administration
Administrators are offering discounts of up to 80% as they sell stock and try to repay creditors.
Quiz will close its final 20 UK stores by the end of Saturday, June 20, 2026, ending the fashion retailer's high street presence after falling into administration earlier this year.
The Scottish brand fell into administration in February for the second time in 12 months after a "tough start" to 2026, prompting joint administrators Alistair McAlinden and Geoff Jacobs from Interpath to implement a "closure plan."
More than 100 head office and warehouse jobs were put at risk when the company entered administration, and heavy discounts of up to 80% are being offered in final clearance sales to repay creditors.
Joint administrator Alistair McAlinden thanked staff for their commitment over five months, stating, "We are extremely grateful for their efforts and wish them all the best for the future."
Other retailers like Las Iguanas, which operates 47 restaurants, have "fallen into financial difficulties" this year; however, major brands including Aldi and Superdrug have announced new store openings for 2026.
