A pair of pilots landed in St. John’s with a handful of world records, and a huge fundraising haul. Ed Galkin, 89, and Peter Teahan, 72, are attempting to circle the Atlantic, landing in 11 countries and raising money to eradicate polio along the way.
Pilot Sets Guinness World Record as Oldest to Fly Across Atlantic
A fundraising and awareness effort to end polio around the world, came to St. John’s this week – and in doing so, set a world record.
