Three people have died in France from health problems caused by the extreme heat, almost 2,700 schools in that country have closed or adjusted their teaching schedules, while a heat wave warning was issued across Europe today.
The second heat wave of the year has been firmly under control in Europe for days. Spain still expects up to 44 degrees Celsius. On Monday in France the highest heat warning level was red for more than half of the country. Schools remained closed, trains were cancelled. There were also several deaths.

Three people have died in France from the heatwave, while nearly 2,700 schools have either closed or modified their schedules. Rail transport, schools and sporting events were also affected, and the deaths of three elderly people in France were partly caused by the heatwave.
