Sophie Nelisse, Francois Arnaud to Return in 'Heated Rivalry' Season 2
Creator Jacob Tierney says the new season adapts The Long Game and brings back fan favorites as production continues.
- On Tuesday, September 1, 2026, Deadline confirmed that nine familiar stars from Season 1 will return for Season 2 of Heated Rivalry, including leads Arnaud and Robbie G.K. as Scott Hunter and Kip Grady.
- Creator Jacob Tierney announced the sophomore season adapts Rachel Reid's The Long Game, picking up 10 years after the relationship between Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov began.
- These returning actors join previously announced additions including Justice Smith and Charlie Gillespie, alongside Daniel Diemer, Shaheen Jafargholi, Emily Hampshire, Edvin Ryding, Robert Naylor, Sabrina Jalees, and Priyanka.
- Production began in August near Toronto, Canada, and while the team requested that fans give the cast and crew "the space they need," several photos of the set have surfaced online in recent weeks.
- Scheduled for a spring 2027 premiere, the series shifts toward "feelings and sensation," according to Tierney, who noted the show is not built on secrets but rather on execution of the story.
