Health Officials Warn of Blue-green Algae at Lake Formosa

The Florida Department of Health in Orange County is warning residents to avoid contact with water at Lake Formosa after blue-green algae was detected near the pedestrian bridge on Aug. 11. Water samples are still being tested to determine whether toxins are present. Lake Formosa sits just north of Downtown Orlando in Ivanhoe Village, near Alden Road and Loch Haven Park.
