Wednesday, the association AC!! Anti-Corruption filed a complaint after the execution, without prior authorization, of a firewall during the megafire of Saumos, in July, on land partly owned by the commune and the National Forestry Office.
The anti-corruption association AC!! denounces the creation of a firewall on public land and without prior permission by a Cap Ferret businessman during the megafire in Gironde. It calls for an investigation for "possible environmental violations".
The four-hectare property of this entrepreneur is located on the tip of Cap-Ferret. On 23 July, he decided to shoot pine trees several hundred metres wide to erect this firewall.
The agency points to a construction site that was started without permission, on land that was partly owned by the municipality and the National Forestry Board.
During the Saumos fire, which threatened the north of Cap Ferret, the millionaire launched without permission the slaughter of 8 hectares of public forests to protect the properties south of the peninsula.
