Hands-on with Fallout 76’s next expansion: Yep, it has Walton Goggins
Burning Springs introduces bounty hunting missions hosted by Walton Goggins as The Ghoul and expands Fallout 76 with Ohio’s largest map addition since 2020, free for all players.
- In December 2025, the free Burning Springs expansion arrives as Fallout 76's largest update since 2020, adding The Ghoul with Walton Goggins's likeness and voice to tie the TV series.
- To coincide with the show's Dec. 17 premiere, Bethesda Game Studios timed the expansion to capitalize on Fallout TV Season 2's audience and attract new and returning players.
- Players will find the Ohio region expanding the map with Highway Town and The Last Resort hubs, a Bounty Hunting system offering solo grunt hunts and multiplayer head hunts, plus new threats like the Rust King and tamable Rad Hog.
- PC players can start testing on Oct. 2 via the PC public test server with full patch notes, while console platforms must wait until December as developers expect new players.

Fallout 76is getting its largest update since 2020 this December with Burning Springs. The new expansion to Bethesda’s MMO takes players to Ohio for a new suite of content inspired by Fallout 3 and New Vegas.
