The Central Prosecutor's Office conducted house searches and seizures in the case of the foundations of the Hungarian National Bank. Although no official interrogation of suspects has yet taken place, according to ATV, investigators have approached circles connected to the environment of former central bank governor György Matolcsy on suspicion of fraudulent management that caused a financial loss of approximately 300 billion forints.
A house search and seizure were carried out, but according to the prosecutor's office, no suspects have been questioned yet.
The police questioned György Matolcsy, the former president of the Magyar Nemzeti Bank, as a suspect in a criminal case for abuse of office. A total of seven people were questioned as suspects in the case on Tuesday, and all of them were searched and data was saved from their mobile devices.
