Linebacker Zaire Franklin is bringing his signature intensity to Green Bay Packers training camp after joining the team in a March trade with the Indianapolis Colts.
General manager Brian Gutekunst acquired Franklin to replace Quay Walker, who led the team in tackles for four seasons before joining the Las Vegas Raiders.
Franklin enters Green Bay with an NFL-leading 644 tackles over the past four seasons and earned a 2024 Pro Bowl selection, while forcing 10 fumbles.
On Tuesday, Franklin discussed his "ultra-competitor" mentality two days after getting into a brief skirmish with running back Chris Brooks, describing himself as an "ultimate alpha."
Defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon praised Franklin's "high football character," while defensive tackle Javon Hargrave said, "You just know when he's out there, he's going to make some plays.
