Grass fire ties up traffic north of Solon

Lang 3/25/26 A grass fire north of Solon tied up traffic on Highway 1 Wednesday morning. Solon firefighters were called to 1425 Highway 1 just south of the 140th Street intersection at 10:00. A trailer with wheel issues is believed to have sparked nearby grass. The fire was extinguished in less than a half-hour, briefly tying up traffic heading between Solon and Mt. Vernon. There were no reported injuries.
