UPDATE: Grass fire on Battle River’s east bank in Ponoka

A fire was spotted burning on the east bank of the Battle River Thursday afternoon at around 3 p.m. Emergency have crews arrived the scene, and at currently, a brush truck has tried to come close. No water on fire as of yet. Police are now closing areas off that are private property. Police also report that the fire is moving fast, and people should avoid the area.
