ROCKPORT — Traffic slowed to a crawl this evening, Oct. 1, along a stretch of Route 1 in Rockport as drivers parked their cars along both sides of the road for half a mile in either direction of Flatbread Pizza, whose parking lot itself overflowed. They were all there to listen to Graham Platner, the unassuming war veteran/Sullivan Harbor Master/Planning Board Chair/oyster farmer and now aspiring candidate for U.S. Senate.
