From Google's point of view, this is the biggest drop in quality ever recorded for the search engine and its results. It hits Google Search users in Europe to get in line with the DMA.

Google introduces in Europe modules that offer more space for comparison services for hotels, flights, transport and products, following the obligations imposed by the Digital Markets Act.

Google announced a major change in its search engine in the EU to comply with the local Digital Markets Act (DMA) and avoid new competition fines. The company's representative told Reuters that this would lead to the largest drop in the quality of the service in its 29-year history. The search engine would lose its usual useful functions, and European companies would face rising costs and falling traffic.

American giant said the changes favor price comparison sites linked to sectors such as hotels, airlines and restaurants
