Google authorized its engineers to use the Opus 5 model of Anthropic for internal programming tasks, although with limits within Antigravity and under the premise that Gemini remains its main tool. The decision coincides with new warnings from a former Google DeepMind security investigator, who argues that the current career of artificial intelligence could leave society with no time to avoid a catastrophic outcome.

According to ChainCatcher, citing Business Insider, Google (GOOG.O) has allowed all engineers to use Anthropic's model Claude.
