Good Medicine Youth Group hosts celebration of culture, language in Central Saanich

The event featured drumming, workshops and an Indigenous market as organizers said it drew more than 350 youth from southern Vancouver Island.

The sound of drums, songs and laughter filled the Tsawout Gymnasium on June 21 as hundreds gathered to celebrate National Indigenous Peoples Day through culture, language and community connection.
