Godzilla Minus Zero Film Streams IMAX Trailer

  • Toho and Gkids released a new trailer for "Godzilla Minus Zero," the sequel to Yamazaki Takashi's Oscar-winning "Godzilla Minus One," hitting North America on November 6, 2026 as the first-ever Japanese production filmed for IMAX.
  • The sequel picks up in 1949, two years after the events of "Godzilla Minus One," as Japan struggles to rebuild following devastation. Just as the country finds fragile peace, a fresh threat emerges to upend it.
  • Returning stars Ryunosuke Kamiki and Minami Hamabe reprise their roles alongside newcomers including Nagasawa Masami as weather forecaster Makoto Aoyama. Kunimura Jun, Maehara Ko, and Iida Motosuke round out the expanded ensemble directed by Yamazaki.
  • "Godzilla Minus Zero" will premiere as the Spotlight Gala selection of the 64th New York Film Festival on Sept. 26, followed by a local opening in Japan on November 3 as the Tokyo International Film Festival's centrepiece gala.
  • Yamazaki returns to direct and handle VFX for the production, shot entirely in Japan using digital cameras certified by IMAX with imagery and sound optimized for large-format screens.
