Gigi Hadid's Underwear Is On Display in Fully Sheer Met Gala 2026 Gown
Hadid wore a sheer black Miu Miu gown with crystal flame and floral embroidery, blending archive looks from 1998 and 2011.
On Monday, May 4, model Gigi Hadid arrived at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City for the Met Gala, wearing a custom sheer Miu Miu gown for the "Costume Art" theme.
Embracing the "Fashion Is Art" dress code, Hadid collaborated with Miu Miu on a design inspired by the brand's spring 1998 and 2011 collections, featuring hand-placed crystal flames and florals.
"We all sat in a hotel room two days ago, literally, and Scotch-taped the patches onto me in a way that felt celebratory," Hadid said, describing the collaborative process.
Since her 2015 debut, the model has attended the Met Gala every year, totaling 10 appearances, and considers the event a "creative collaboration based on a theme."
Beyond the red carpet, Hadid manages a double life between her high-profile modeling career and raising her 5-year-old daughter, Khai, away from the industry's noise.
