N.Y. Giants to Hire K.C. Chiefs' Matt Nagy as Offensive Coordinator

On Feb. 3, 2026, the Giants confirmed they will hire Matt Nagy as offensive coordinator, with multiple outlets reporting the move and the update published Tuesday.
John Harbaugh tapped Nagy from Andy Reid's coaching tree because both previously worked under Reid and Nagy has experience with Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs quarterback.
His résumé includes a 34-31 record coaching the Chicago Bears from 2018-21, including an AP NFL Coach of the Year season, and he spent the past three seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs, helping them reach the 2024 title game.
With Nagy in place, he will focus solely on offense under John Harbaugh, who remains the Giants' head coach, and the move follows Dennard Wilson's hiring as defensive coordinator.
After Todd Monken accepted the Cleveland Browns' head coach job on Jan. 28, the Giants interviewed Davis Webb and Jim Bob Cooter before selecting Matt Nagy, who missed head-coach openings this offseason.
