YUNUS ÜLGER | In Bavaria, a customer complained to a baker after discovering that the half-loaf of bread he bought was 10 grams short. The baker, who had been selling half-loaves of bread by eye for 66 years, was forced to purchase a sensitive scale and software, paying 15,000 euros for it.
Because half a loaf of bread was ten grams too light, a customer complained. The baker had to buy new scales on the order of the Eichamt – for 15,000 euros.
