Germany and France Demand Stricter Measures Against Russian Shadow Fleet
Lawmakers from Germany and France have drafted a joint initiative calling for enhanced controls, vessel detentions, and diplomatic pressure to counter the operations of Russia’s “shadow fleet.

Deputies of the German and French parliaments came up with a joint initiative on more concrete steps against the vessels of the Russian “shadow fleet”.
German and French parliamentarians made a joint appeal to strengthen measures against the so-called shadow fleet of Russia, reporting to the DPA with reference to the draft document in question, which suggested that more stringent inspections and detention of ships violating international rules should be carried out.
