Wholesale prices in Germany have gained momentum. According to August 2026 data released by the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), the index rose by 6.8% year-on-year. This level surpasses the 5.3% increase in July and marks the strongest annual rise since February 2023. On a monthly basis, wholesale prices increased by 0.9%.
