At the 2026 F1 Spanish Grand Prix, Williams' Carlos Sainz Jr. was given a three-place grid penalty. The stewards determined that Sainz Jr. had obstructed Cadillac's Valtteri Bottas during his attack lap in Saturday's qualifying session at Madring.
