Gemini Receives US License for Prediction Markets
Gemini's affiliate received a CFTC license after a five-year process, enabling U.S. customers to trade yes/no event contracts on web and soon mobile platforms.
- On Dec. 10, 2025 Gemini Titan, LLC, an affiliate of Gemini Space Station, Inc. , received a CFTC Designated Contract Market license enabling Gemini to offer prediction markets to U.S. traders.
- Gemini first applied for a DCM license on March 10, 2020, capping a five-year process for the global crypto platform founded by Cameron Winklevoss and Tyler Winklevoss in 2014.
- Starting shortly, U.S. customers can trade yes-or-no event contracts on Gemini's web interface using USD in their Gemini account, with mobile app trading available soon.
- The approval advances Gemini's product roadmap as it plans to explore U.S. crypto futures, options and perpetual contracts or perps, aiming to build a one-stop financial super app.
- Gemini thanked President Trump for ending the Biden Administration's 'War on Crypto' and praised Acting Chairman Pham as a pro-innovation regulator.

Winklevoss twins' Gemini bags US license for prediction markets
Dec 10 : Gemini, the crypto platform founded by billionaire twins Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss, said on Wednesday it had received a license from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission to offer prediction markets to U.S. customers.Shares of the New York-based company jumped 10.8 per cent in extended trading.
