Qurans Under Table Legs in Quiet Room, Utrecht University

In a quiet room at Utrecht University, two Qurans were placed under the legs of a table. Bottle caps and "puddles of dried liquid" were also found nearby, which the university believes to be beer. "It was left disrespectfully. This is unacceptable; this cannot be allowed," a spokeswoman said on Wednesday following reports by the AD and RTV Utrecht. The university is conducting an investigation.

Utrecht University has launched an investigation into an incident in a quiet room of the Buys Ballot Building at Utrecht Science Park. Earlier this week, a student found two Qurans there that had been placed under a table leg. Bottle caps were also found in the same room, and puddles were visible. It is not yet known who is responsible for this.
