Screening, early diagnosis services nearly halted as treatment options remain severely limited, says ministry
The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza reports that the possibility of early diagnosis in breast cancer has disappeared. The ministry announced that due to the scarcity of mammography devices and the absence of laboratory materials, screening services were stopped, and radiotherapy with chemotherapy drugs was not available.
Istanbul: The Ministry of Health of the Gaza Strip warned, Thursday, that the collapse of the early detection and diagnosis system of breast cancer masks the actual magnitude of injuries, amid estimates of hundreds of undiagnosed cases. This was reported in a Ministry statement on the occasion of the October-pink month, which is dedicated globally to raising awareness of breast cancer, early detection and support for women with breast cancer.
