Gas prices jump by nearly 27 cents in Capital Region

CAPITAL REGION, N.Y. — Average gasoline prices in the area have risen 26.6 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $4.42 a gallon, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 546 stations in Albany. Prices in the region are 32.1 cents per gallon higher than a month ago and stand $1.36 a gallon higher than a year ago.
