- The impact triggered a large fire that spread to three warehouses and 10 roadside shops, including a gym and a generator house, according to the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service.
- Firefighters from Lekki Phase II, Oniru, and Epe II stations contained the blaze, successfully preventing the fire from reaching a nearby Total Petrol Filling Station and a fully loaded 33,000-litre Premium Motor Spirit tanker.
- According to Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service Controller General Margaret Adeseye, the tipper driver and his assistant were killed, while recovery teams removed three Sienna buses, a Toyota Corolla, and a forklift.
- Normalcy has returned to the Sangotedo site as authorities currently evacuate the wreckage, with Adeseye noting that emergency cleanup efforts are concluding.
