Brisbane 2032 Logos Accidentally Revealed by Official YouTube Channel
Organisers said the leak generated strong interest after the emblem was meant to be revealed in a planned ceremony on Monday.
On Friday, the Brisbane 2032 organizing committee accidentally leaked its cockatoo-inspired Olympic and Paralympic emblems on YouTube, three days before the planned Monday reveal.
Parts of the crest were unveiled during the week at events in Cairns, Townsville, Rockhampton, and the Sunshine Coast, encouraging public speculation about the design's identity.
Minister Tim Mander and Brisbane2032 Chief Marketing Brent Hill downplayed the blunder, with Hill admitting, "If we had our time over, maybe there's different ways we could have done it."
Brisbane 2032 staged an official reveal of the final two pieces at Elephant Rock in Currumbin on Saturday morning, pivoting quickly to manage the incident.
The Olympic emblem features a pink cockatoo stylized as a flame, while the Paralympic version uses yellow of a sulphur-crested cockatoo, symbolizing Australia's spirit heading toward 2032.
